Huawei Ascend Mate
I'm trying to maintain a list of all the tips & tricks I was forced to go through.
EXT4 mount invalid argument
Q: I partitioned a sdcard using (1) FAT32 and (2) EXT4 and it fails to mount with
mount ... failed: Invalid argument
A: First of all, check the logs in cat /proc/kmsg, you may notice something like
Filesystem with huge files cannot be mounted read-write without CONFIG_LBDAF
If that is the case, then run
tune2fs -O ^huge_file /dev/yourdevice
Reason: The kernel delivered with the Huawei Ascend Mate on OTA update B112 does not seem to have CONFIG_LBDAF - which does make sense on small devices anyway.
